This privacy policy (the “Policy”) describes how the Carol and Gene Ludwig Family Foundation (“LFF” or “us” or “we”) collects, uses, stores and shares information related to users of this website, http://ludwigfamilyfoundation.org (the “Site”). This Policy applies solely to this Site and not to any other websites, mobile applications, or other channels through which we might collect information from or about you, other than as described herein.
We respect your privacy and want you to understand how, as a user of the Site, you can expect information about you to be affected by and protected in relation to your use of the Site. You may also submit other information through the “Contact” page, which could include additional PII about you. We advise you not to submit PII about anyone other than yourself. If you do submit PII about another individual, you are agreeing that you have obtained that individual’s consent for such submission to us.
The “Contact” section also provides contact information that you may use to call or email us. If we collect PII from you when you contact us by phone or email, we will treat that PII in the same manner as PII you submit directly through the “Contact” section.
In order to best deliver relevant digital advertising to you, LFF also collects your Internet Protocol (IP) address and information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our services.

- We will use your PII to respond to your questions or requests, as submitted through the “Contact” page, as well as to respond to other requests you may make or questions you may raise, either through the Site or by other means, such as by contacting us via email or phone.
- We will also use your PII to send you by email information about future events and thought leadership pieces related to The Ludwig Institute for Shared Economic Prosperity. If we send any commercial email messages to you, we will provide you with the opportunity to unsubscribe from receiving further such messages.
- We use your IP address and the information we collect about your online activities to send you information we believe will be of interest to you. If you do not wish to have us know which advertisements and subsequent websites you have viewed, you may opt-out at AboutAds. Additionally, the Digital Advertising Alliance website contains important information about interest-based advertising, behavioral advertising, and what opting out will and will not do.
3.With Whom Does LFF Share PII Collected Through the Site?
- Operational Partners and Third Party Service Providers. Operational Partners and Third Party Service Providers. We share PII with unaffiliated third parties who provide us with services, such as the designer and operator of the Site, others who assist us with technology, outreach, or similar services. We do not share PII with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
- Acquirers or Assignees. In the event of any reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of LFF or its assets, we may transfer any and all information that we collect from Site users to the acquiring party or assignee.
- Entities Entitled Under Law. - Security. We use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to help protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. However, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage system can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure. Please do not send us information you consider confidential.
- Other Websites. The Site may contain links to websites operated by parties not affiliated with LFF. These linked websites are not under LFF’s control, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the contents of any such unaffiliated parties or their websites. If you provide PII through any such third-party website, the PII will be collected by, and controlled by the privacy policy of, that third party. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the privacy policies and practices of any such third parties.
